IT high availability as part of a new IT concept
Initial situation
The historically grown production network of the regional manufacturer of hygiene products no longer met the current company requirements. A new IT concept became essential.
Challenge and implementation of the IT project
Together with certified technicians from SIGMA Chemnitz, the increased requirements were recorded and various technologies and availability approaches were simulated, tested and compared.
Based on this selection process, an all flash storage cluster including 3 hypervisor servers could be defined as the target system. The IT high availability solution as well as the SAN & LAN network modernization will be integrated at the beginning of 2021 by SIGMA Chemnitz in close cooperation with the IT administrator of HYGIENE Oederan Produktionsgesellschaft mbH.
The Oederan-based company was founded in 1993 and specializes in the complete range of modern feminine hygiene products. The produced articles are delivered as manufacturer brands and as private labels for international brand companies.
