E-invoicing with Infor LN

The e-invoicing obligation is drawing ever closer and presents companies with the challenge of adapting their invoicing processes in good time and in compliance with the law. But what exactly is an e-invoice and what deadlines do companies need to observe? As an experienced integrator for the ERP solution Infor LN, we support you in reliably implementing the legal requirements. From implementation to ensuring smooth compliance - we help you to make the switch to e-invoices efficient and future-proof.

Transitional regulations on the e-invoicing obligation

From 2025, companies in Germany will be obliged to switch to electronic invoicing. However, as the changeover process can be extensive, transitional periods will initially apply. Companies must be able to receive electronic invoices by January 1, 2025 at the latest. By January 1, 2027, companies with an annual turnover of at least 800,000 euros will then be obliged to issue and send only electronic invoices. From January 1, 2028, this requirement will become mandatory for all companies.

Which formats are accepted?

According to the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF), two formats are officially accepted for electronic invoicing: XRechnung and the ZUGFeRD format. XRechnung is based on XML and provides all the necessary invoice data in a structured form. ZUGFeRD, on the other hand, is a hybrid format that combines structured XML data and the invoice image as a PDF. In principle, other formats can also meet the requirements, provided they comply with the legal requirements.

What do you need to do now to be prepared for the e-invoicing obligation?

To ensure smooth processes and legally compliant invoicing, now is the right time to set the course. Our team will support you with the implementation for Infor LN (from version 10.6) as well as Infor Baan or Infor LN versions older than 10.6, so that you are optimally prepared. Find out in the diagram which steps you can implement with which solution and how we can help you to make your processes future-proof.
