The Techwell TW9910 Video Decoder Chip
The TW9910 low energy video decoder chip for NTSC, PAL and SECAM from Techwell is specially designed for mobile applications with low energy consumption.
We offer experience, for example, in connecting analog cameras via Techwell's TW9910 Video Decoder Chip to Quick Capture Interface of suitable SOCs.
- Composite and S-Video input
- 10 bit video ADC
- Maximum 4 analog inputs
- Maximum 4 CVBS inputs
- 4H ( 2D ) Comb Filter
- 3.3 V and 1.8 V power supply
- <100 mW Power consumption
- QFP 44, QFN 48 Package
Techwell's TW9910 uses two different power supplies - 1.8 volts for analog and digital signal processing and 3.3 volts for I/O processes. A 27 MHz crystal alone is sufficient to decode the analog video standards. The Video Decoder converts CVBS or S video signals into digital 8 or 16-bit 4:2:2 YCbCr for output.
The Techwell TW9910 also contains logic circuitry to detect and process VBI ( Vertical Blanking Information ) signals. Furthermore copy protected signals according to Macrovision standard ( including AGC and colorstripe pulses ) can be detected. A two cable serial host interface is used to simplify system integration. All functions can be controlled.
