Freescale NXP i.MX28 processor
The Freescale NXP i.MX28 is a family of processors ( i.MX281, i.MX283, i.MX285, i.MX286 and i.MX287 ) designed specifically for multimedia applications. The processors of the i.MX28 family are part of Freescale's ARM9 portfolio.
We offer you standard and customer specific Board Support Packages ( BSP ) or WinCE system integration based on the Freescale NXP processors i.MX28.
The i.MX28 family is divided into two major areas where the respective processors can do their job, the industrial and automotive sectors. Optimized performance and low power consumption are particularly helpful there. Especially suitable areas of application are fanless and / or mobile applications that are battery powered. Various connectivity options, such as the dual 10 / 100 Ethernet ( IEEE ® 1588 capable ) is ideally suited for industrial applications. The LCD controller with touch screen functionality allows the application to be used as an intuitive user interface in countless applications.
The i.MX28 family is also suitable for automotive applications due to its display control, excellent power management, CAN, USB ( physical USB interfaces PHY ) and Ethernet ( 10 / 100 Ethernet ) functionalities.
