Background

The medium-sized company Polyfoam Kautschuk GmbH has been a convinced user of SAP Business One for years. In order to be able to map and optimize their internal processes more transparently, the introduction of a store floor data collection system (PDC) that interacts with SAP Business One was the necessary consequence.

Implementation of the SAP project

The digital PDA solution developed by SIGMA Chemnitz provides Polyfoam with a web-based browser application that can be operated from various machines and workstations via tablet or PC.

The software enables the medium-sized company to manage and specifically control the entire production of rubber products. Detailed logging and storage of all production-relevant data executed by the employees and machines takes place.

The components consumed in production at Polyfoam are quickly and easily recorded in SIGMA BDE and automatically booked out in SAP Business One. All manufactured products are registered in SIGMA BDE and stored as inventory in the ERP system. This allows the manufactured goods to be reused in subsequent processes. The data recorded by SIGMA BDE and transferred to SAP Business One is thus available to Polyfoam for subsequent reports and production evaluations.
