Stabilization of a WEC7 system-on-chip with i.MX6 and SPI interfacing
Case Study: Stabilization of a WEC7 System at AUG Elektronik GmbH
For an existing embedded system, SIGMA assisted in stabilizing and optimizing the interaction between the operating system, customer-specific drivers, and the application. The focus was on a time-critical SPI interface between an NXP i.MX6DL ARM SoC and an ATmega.
In systems like these, errors often do not occur in isolation within a single software component, but rather at the interfaces between the operating system, driver logic, and application. A systematic analysis of the entire system was therefore crucial, focusing on timing, the interaction of the involved software layers, and the robust handling of communication via the SPI interface.
